My Makeup/Cosmetic Favorites of 2009

I just posted a video highlighting some of my faves from 2009. I had so many I couldn't fit them all in one video. I'll definitely have to carry some over into my January favorites.

Featured in this video:

Tarte Clean Slate Face Primer
This is an amazing primer for the brow! Forget about waxes and gels. This is where it's at!

Ben Nye Lumiere Creme Wheel
Gorgeous, rich colors. Use as an eyeshadow base or elsewhere on the face.

Stila Eyeshadows (Barbie Loves Stila Palette)
Why did I sleep on this brand for so long???? The eyeshadows are super pigmented, buttery soft and can be used wet or dry.

Red Cherry False Eyelashes
Inexpensive, crazy variety, they apply easily and wear well.

Maybelline Expert Eyes Eyeliner
Scott Barnes put me on to these. $3 for 2 pencils. Warm them first and you'll get a deep black that glides on and lasts!

Stila Natural Finish Oil-Free Makeup
My skin always looks so good in this foundation. It has such a beautiful, natural finish just as the name describes. I didn't think Stila made foundations for women of color but I was wrong!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Dark)
An all time fav. I wasn't blown away when these were first introduced several years ago but I am now a believer. The finish is so beautiful, not too matte with light coverage. A staple for years to come.

Nars Casino Bronzer
Go buy it. If you are a women of color my complexion or lighter, go buy it. That is all. Trust me.

MAC Reflects Glitter (Purple Duo & Transparent Teal)
There are a lot of brands that make products on par with MAC...except in the glitter department. The reflects glitters are sooo gorgeous and hard to duplicate. They sparkle like crazy and really add a little something extra to your look.

I love MAC MSF natural, we use the same shade. Perfect!

MSFs are great. I usually use Medium Dark or Medium Deep but I like Dark because I can use it to deepen my skintone & add a little warmth. It's also a good way to deepen a foundation that's too light, as I did in this video.

I love Dark MSFN it's a bit darker but works as a great contour for me as well....and I still need to pick up Casino

omg i know this is an old video.. but please do a tutorial! or write how you did your eyes! i just got the purple duo and transparent teal reflects glitter and want to learn how to use them together
